Neil Patrick Harris in talks to host the Emmys
The "How I Met Your Mother" star seems like the perfect choice to host this year's Emmycast on CBS after drawing rave reviews for hosting the Tonys last month. If the deal is completed, the Emmys would mark the 4th awards show hosted by Harris this year, following the TV Land Awards and the nontelevised Writers Guild Awards. "I love the hosting thing," Harris said prior to the Tonys. "I've gotten to do a lot of it this year. I'm enjoying it. I thought I could do it and execute it well."


Christian Slater is set to join "The Forgotten"

He's in talks to replace Rupert Penry-Jones in the Jerry Bruckheimer drama about an ex-cop who goes sleuthing with three pals in search of his kidnapped 11-year-old daughter.
