"The Office: The Opera" prepares to debut in Britain

With the blessing of Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant composer-director Anne Chmelewsky has come up with an operatic version of the hit TV show. Chmelewsky says she initially wrote the opera as a joke: "I did a classical composition course, and I didn't really like it. In my final year we had to write something contemporary and classical, and was looking around for inspiration. So I thought, The Office: The Opera!"
