Laurey Linney's "C Word": She'll star in Showtime's cancer comedy
Linney will also exec produce "The C Word," is a dark comedy in which Linney portrays a cancer patient. "Cancer is not usually the subject of a half-hour comedy," says Showtime's entertainment president, but Laura saw what we did in this complex show — a woman who gets a wake-up call that causes her to shake up her life and family. She will no doubt make this character both heartbreaking and disarmingly funny."
