CBS may finally proceed with a "Criminal Minds" spinoff
A "Minds" spinoff has been talked about since summer 2008, but was derailed due to the "NCIS" spinoff. The "Minds" spinoff would debut as a backdoor pilot next spring.


Heather Locklear returns to "Melrose Place"

Now 48, Locklear today began reprising her role as Amanda Woodward.


Jon Gosselin's rep insists: "He was not fired"

Jon will, as TLC stated, still appear on "Kate Plus Eight" but in a limited role, according to his rep. Jon is also shopping around reality show with Lindsay Lohan's dad called "The Divorced Dads Club."


Fox signs animation deal with Seth Green's "Robot Chicken" crew

Green's comedy won't use stop-motion animation, but he says it "will have an aesthetic familiar to viewers of Fox's popular animated comedies."


Logo working on a gay "Real Housewives"

The NYC-based project would focus on a group of "party boys."


History tackles more reality: "Ice Road Truckers" spinoff, collectors, NASCAR

History channel is adding more reality TV to its lineup. "Extreme Trucking"will take the "Ice Road" format and apply it to other dangerous roads, while "American Pickers" will follow collectible hunters. "Madhouse" will capture life on a NASCAR track in North Carolina and "Sliced" will look at objects cut in half.

Jon Gosselin's lawyers today reportedly filed a motion to suspend his divorce proceedings for 90 days. But the move could be part of a legal and PR strategy, especially since the filing was made the same day that he was cut out of "Kate Plus 8." PLUS: TLC interested in a "Kate Project."

TLC changes "Jon & Kate's" name to "Kate Plus 8" — with less Jon
Jon Gosselin will continue to appear, but beginning Nov. 2 "Jon & Kate Plus Eight" will become "Kate Plus Eight" as the cameras spend more time focusing on Kate Gosselin and her eight kids. "Given the recent changes in the family dynamics, it only makes sense for us to refresh and recalibrate the program to keep pace with the family," TLC's president said in a statement. "The family has evolved and we are attempting to evolve with it; we feel that Kate's journey really resonates with our viewers." PLUS: Kate says TLC may cancel "Plus Eight."


"Dr. Phil" sued over bus crash
