Report: Letterman banned alleged extortionist from "Late Show" parties
The New York Post says that Robert Halderman started growing incensed with David Letterman years ago when he began dating Stephanie Birkitt, but wasn't allowed to attend "Late Show" staff parties with her. "He wanted Stephanie there, not Halderman — he didn't like him," a source tells The Post. Halderman reportedly started dating Stephanie earlier this decade, not long after Dave and her broke up.

Howard Stern criticizes Letterman, confirms his wife did not sleep with Dave

Stern calls his friend Dave's shenanigans a "bad, bad decision," adding that the "Late Show" host left the impression that you can "suck off the boss" to get ahead in the workplace. Stern also points out that his wife, Beth Ostrosky Stern, was working for Letterman as a "Late Show" model when they first began dating in 2000. When their relationship was revealed, Stern says Beth lost her job on "The Late Show."
