NBC moving the Emmys to August yet again
"Sunday Night Football" is bumping the Emmy Awards to late August for the 2nd time in four years. The Emmys last aired in August in 2006, the last time NBC had the rights to the awards show.

The "Sports Night" and "Studio 60" creator says: "It's going to be what turns out to be the third in the trilogy of TV shows that take place behind the scenes of a TV show, but this will be a different kind of TV show. That's all I can let out of the bag right now."

MTV VMAs director to helm the Oscars
Hamish Hamilton, who has also directed the Supeer Bowl halftime shows and the MTV Europe Music Awards, will hopefully bring a whole new look to the Academy Awards.
