"Dancing" uses more than 6 gallons of spray tan to create fake abs
Every Sunday, the "Dancing" stars have their six packs painted on, their cheekbones defined and their arms sculpted almost immediately. "You go in feeling fat and frumpy, and you come out feeling skinny and hot," said Chelsie Hightower. As the Wall Street Journal reports, "Depending on the dance the couple will perform — fox trot or waltz, West Coast swing or cha-cha — TV makeup artists use a specific tone of tan. Latin dances like the rumba and sultry lambada seem to call for the darkest shades. Waltzes and fox trots take fine-tuning on hands, neck and ankles since most of the body is covered."

Tom DeLay is recovered, and ready to go "Dancing" again

He and Cheryl Burke will dance the Texas Two-Step on Tuesday's season finale. "I'm so excited to dance," he says. ". . . I'm much more comfortable now that I'm not competing."

Not everybody is loving "Sons of Anarchy"

"The rival gangs on 'Sons of Anarchy' are too similar, seething thug characters are everywhere, and the strategies of each group aren't thoughtful or unexpected enough to hold our interest," complains Heather Havrilesky, adding: "On 'Sons of Anarchy' no one seems to have an ace in the hole, ever. Jax clashes with Clay, the Feds want Zobelle but Clay and Jax won't play, SOA member Chibs gives in to Agent Stahl when his IRA boss taunts him about sleeping with his daughter, but it doesn't add up or surprise us enough."

"Curb's" reunion of "Seinfeld" cast was strange and satisfying

Larry David, says James Poniewozik, didn't show the "Seinfeld" reunion going awry. Instead, he did "something much more ordinary and impressive, which was a faithful, funny re-creation of how the rhythms of the show and the characters would play if it simply picked up 11 years later." Poniewozik adds: "What this episode, and the Seinfeld part of the season did, was to bring together Seinfeldian and Curbian humor, but in a way that always came back to the acerbic, crabbed hilarity that makes Curb distinctive."

"Glee's" Jenna Ushkowitz has known Lea Michele since they were 8

Fifteen years later, their stars on the same show — though they did not audition together. Ushkowitz, though, has become the "ringleader" for the cast. "We do everything from watching 'Glee' together, to going out to dinner, bowling, going to water parks and just hanging out," she says. "It's disgusting how much we all really love each other."

Teary Oprah: "25 years feels right in my bones"
Oprah Winfrey broke down in tears (watch it here) as she confirmed the news that she was leaving her talk show in 2011. "Why walk away and make the next season the last?" she asked rhetorically. PLUS: Why so many Canadian jokes?

Jeff Probst: "It’s like they lost their brains somewhere in the South Pacific"

Part of Foa Foa's comeback, he says, is can be blamed on game play. "33% Russell’s individual game play, 33% Foa Foa sticking together and 33% Galu just flat out blowing one of the most dominant leads in Survivor history.  It’s like they lost their brains somewhere in the South Pacific.  And as of last night’s episode, they still haven’t found it."

Conan might benefit from losing "The Tonight Show" and leaving NBC

Conan O'Brien is currently in a lose-lose situation, as Tim Goodman points out, and his best option right now might be to leave the network and start his third act. It might sound crazy now. But NBC knows how to super-size crazy."

No one cares who won "Project Runway," thanks to Lifetime

"The story of season six was that there was no story," says Heather Havrilesky, pointing to not only the network swtich but the change in the producers. "Where were the demented comments and the late-night breakdowns and the mimicry of former seasons?" she says, tossing around names like Jay and Santino. "Were the contestants chosen without any regard to their personalities or lack thereof? Or did the producers do an awful job of encouraging spirited talk and then editing it together to form a provocative narrative?" PLUS: Season 6 should've been tossed in the trash and Irina speaks.

It's time to declare "CSI's" Laurence Fishburne experiment a failure

It's not his fault, says Robert Bianco, but "CSI" has become far less interesting and less balanced since he joined the cast. "Fishburne's performance might be good enough and the character strong enough to function as a member of the ensemble," says Bianco. "But what CSI needs in the still-roiling wake of William Petersen's departure is a lead character and a charismatic star turn, and Fishburne's Ray Langston is not filling either bill."
