Carson Daly surfaces on "Jimmy Kimmel Live"
"What do you think is going to happen to my show?" asked The Forgotten NBC "Last Call" host, who once worked as Kimmel's intern at a Palm Springs radio station. He then asked, "Can I have your show?" Fox crunching numbers to see if Conan (and his "soft" ratings) are worth it

There have been "approaches" by other networks over the past two days, according to the Wall Street Journal, but it appears Fox is most serious about pursuing Conan O'Brien. Fox's interest in Conan, however, hasn't turned serious due to his contract with NBC. As the Journal reports, "Among Fox's concerns are the shrinking profits of late night as competition grows, and Mr. O'Brien's soft ratings, the people said. The network could also have trouble persuading local Fox TV stations to give up shows they have already purchased to fill their late-night hours." PLUS: Fox affiliates could lose money with Conan, but the network has the right to clear out the 11 o'clock hour for a nightly talk show and sources say Conan will likely land at Fox.

Conan finally addressed the rumors in Friday's monologue

ABC: We're not interested in Conan

"With all due respect to Conan, we like the late-night hand that we are current playing," says the network, which has seen "Nightline's" ratings soar while Jimmy Kimmel has performed solidly.
