"Because the comedy is so strong, the cast is so likable, and everyone involved so obviously has a passion for making the show as entertaining as it can be, there's a sense of joy around 'Chuck' that's infectious," he explains. "Rare is the episode that doesn't make me smile for the hour."
Why just nine episodes? "It was a demand about getting the show ready for January that shortened the order," co-creator Will Scheffer says of starting the season so early in the calendar year, which was made to accommodate HBO's "The Pacific." As for this season, he says, "We've become much more integrated into the deeper meaning of what polygamy is and whether it is a fundamentally viable lifestyle. Whether this can really work in true consenting adult relationships between women and a man."
“I think I was picked because maybe everybody else was busy," he jokes when talking about “The Simpsons 20th Anniversary Special: In 3-D! On Ice!." “I was kind of the one that was left over. When Al Jean and everybody called me up, they wanted to make a documentary that kind of looked at the series, but did it in a way that was a little different than kind of a pat on the back kind of show. They wanted to know what my take would be in terms of looking at the show through my eyes, which I thought was a cool and fun thing to get to do.
According to the New York Times, the Peacock is seriously discussing a plan that would restore Jay Leno to 11:35 in a 30-minute format, which would bump Conan to 12:05, airing directly opposite "Jimmy Kimmel Live," and Fallon to 1:05. Though as the NY Times points out no final decision has been made. 
So claims TMZ: "We've learned Jay's 10:00 PM show will go on hiatus February 1. After the Olympics, Jay will take back his 11:30 PM time slot. What has not been decided — whether Jay's show will be a half hour, followed by Conan, or whether Jay's show will be an hour and NBC says sayonara to Mr. O'Brien."
