The cable network is in talks with Ron Moore on a new "Galactica" spinoff. Meanwhile, Syfy is considering two superhero pilots, "Alphas" and "Three Inches."

Paula Abdul poised for ABC's "Star Search"
Will she host? Will she judge? Will she do both? It remains to be seen, as her role on the revamped "Star Search" — the first since Arsenio Hall's version in 2004 on CBS — has yet to be defined. ABC had been wooing Paula since she left "Idol" last summer. "Star Search" may end up airing this summer, so it's unclear if she'll be able to do both this show and Simon Cowell's "X Factor in fall 2011.


Report: Spencer Pratt "flipped out" on female "Hills" producer

"All of that stuff about him leaving 'The Hills' to fight cyber crime is not true," a source tells Us Weekly. In fact, MTV is reportedly forcing him to take a break from the show after he screamed at a female producer and threatened to kill her.
