NBC rejects Conan's invite to "Idol Gives Back"
Conan O'Brien wasn't asked by Fox to do the "American Idol" charity special on April 21; he was approached by "Idol" producer 19 Entertainment. But NBC refused to let Conan appear on the No. 1 TV show before his television moratorium ends on May 1st. According to The Hollywood Reporter, a deal between Fox and Conan is reached by April 12, then Conan can use his tour to meet with Fox affiliates around the country.
