TNT ending "The Closer" after 7 seasons
Next year's final 15 episodes will be the last for the Kyra Sedgwick drama, which proved to be a game-changer for TNT. "The Closer was a pivotal series in setting a new course for TNT’s original programming, while also serving as a prime example of the storytelling strength possible on cable television," says Turner Entertainment Network boss Steve Koonin. Adds Sedgwick: "I cannot fathom how difficult it will be to say goodbye to the incredible family we’ve created on "The Closer.'"

ABC has Matthew Perry fill in for Courteney Cox, adds Wed 10 PM comedy hour
Perry's "Mr. Sunshine" will temporarily take over "Cougar Town's" post-"Modern Family" timeslot starting Feb. 19. ABC will also another comedy, "Happy Endings" starring Elisha Cuthbert, following "Mr. Sunshine" at 10 pm Wednesdays. The post-"Happy Endings" slot will be filled with "Modern Family" reruns.
