Oprah: Perhaps I should've launched OWN after my talk show ended
"It's not where I want it to be," says Oprah, who today fired the CEO of the Oprah Winfrey Network. "I've thought maybe it would have been better to wait until this completely ended and then literally use ('Oprah') as a launchpad," she says. "If I had it to do differently and had thought of that option I might have considered that a priority. But I don’t spend a lot of time in the regret mode." PLUS: Advice to Oprah: Get dirty!

The former "Biggest Loser" star will become a co-host on "The Doctors" and a correspondent for "Dr. Phil."

Will Ferrelll exits "The Office" after 4 personalities in 4 weeks

Ferrell's guest stint — suggested by Ferrell himself — was a failure that seemed forced on the producers. As Alan Sepinwall notes, "the fact that the writers so clearly had no idea what to do with Ferrell doesn't fill me with confidence for whatever guest stars turn up in the final episodes – nor do I feel especially great right now about the idea of an outside character coming in as the permanent new regional manager. The show may not have wanted Ferrell, but at some point they should have figured out something good to do with him." PLUS: Was it tasteless for "The Office" to mine a brain injury for laughs?, and listen to the Hip-Hop "Office" theme song.

CBS sued for piracy

CBS, it turns out, is partly responsible for illegal TV show downloading, thanks to its subsidiary CNET, which distributes file-sharing software.

"The X Factor" begins taping Sunday: When will Paula Abdul be hired?

Jacob Lusk: Jimmy Iovine's comments really hurt

"I wouldn't call it soul-destroying," he says. "It definitely hurts a lot, to have someone who is supposed to be mentoring you tearing you down. What you have to remember is you're not doing it for him, you're doing it for the people out there in America. They're the people who are voting. It definitely hurts. It's definitely hard to have someone beat you over the head with a baseball bat, then say, 'Now go out here and sing for your life.'" PLUS: Iovine is The New Simon — why not make him part of the judging panel?, and Randy calls "The Voice" "gimmicky."
