Crystal just tweeted (though the Academy hasn't confirmed): "Am doing the Oscars so the young woman in the pharmacy will stop asking my name when I pick up my prescriptions. Looking forward to the show." In August, Crystal said he was "itchy" to host the Academy Awards again, for a 9th time. "It's really hard," he said at the time, "but maybe one or two more times? I don't know. They know where I am." Crystal last hosted the Oscars in 2004. UPDATE: The Academy confirms Crystal is hosting.

"As of immediately I will stop tweeting until I find a way to properly manage this feed," Kutcher later tweeted after deleting the offensive tweet, which drew outrage from his followers. "I feel awful about this error. Won't happen again."

The rapper/actor died today of unknown causes. Heavy D wrote and sang the theme songs to "In Living Color" and "MADtv," as well as "The Tracy Morgan Show," which he also starred on. It was just last month that Heavy D performed at the BET Awards, his first live show in 15 years.
